L’eau de Parfum by Cirque du Soleil: A Gourmand Reimagined

Cirque du Soleil has always been synonymous with the extraordinary, and their debut fragrance, L’eau de Parfum, released this year, captures that magic in a perfume bottle. With irresistible ingredients for the gourmand lover, such as cotton candy, red apple, buttery popcorn accord, vanilla bean, and caramelized amber, this fragrance pushes boundaries, creating an experience that is both familiar and wholly unique.

At first spritz, L’eau de Parfum greets you with the mouth-watering aroma of candied red apple and caramel popcorn. Or at least, that's what it smelled like to me. And then the cotton candy wafts through making an already happy experience, even better.

This is a very rich scent with a quality amount of depth, and while it sounds very sweet (and it is), it is not too sweet, with the sandalwood note preventing it from going into a sugary overload.

Much like Cirque du Soleil’s performances which blur the lines between reality and fantasy, L’eau de Parfum, figuratively speaking, is a mesmerizing dance between the edible and the elegant.

This is delectable from the very first spray, but the dry down is where the fragrance becomes utterly irresistible. Vanilla bean, caramelized amber, and sandalwood add a warmth that lingers on the skin.

This vegan, cruelty-free fragrance is not overpowering in any way, but it does last for hours on end, and with every breath, you catch a whiff of something familiar—yet elusive. It’s a fragrance that evolves, drawing you back for another inhale, just like the thrill of watching a performer pull off an impossible feat, so very fitting that it was made by Cirque du Soleil.

Top Notes: Bergamot, Cotton Candy, Apple
Heart Notes: Iris, Freesia, Buttery Popcorn Accord
Base: Vanilla, Sandalwood, Caramelized Amber

This fragrance has created quite the buzz in the fragrance circles, and has quickly become one of the most talked about and favored new releases of the year.

The bottle itself is lovely as well. L’eau de Parfum is as much a statement piece as it is an olfactory experience. It’s a tribute to Cirque du Soleil’s artistry and a true gourmand masterpiece—a delicious gourmand, reimagined.

  12. The bottle is absolutely gorgeous! The fragrance notes sound right up my alley too. It is a bit pricey though, so I'd want to take a sniff at the beauty counter first to make sure it's something that I really do enjoy. Though your description truly made me feel like scent is as magical as their performance.

  13. Hi Rosey - I'm totally captivated by the bottle ... I've kept the same perfume all my life and don't think I'll change now ... it's what suits - and some people can happily change ... but Theresa really tells you what I think too!! Cheers Hilary

  14. I am the only one in the world who does not like it.Too dense for me. Of course, I appreciat the concept and bought one anyway. It was the 100th bottle in my collection too so it's special to me anyway. And I think it's going to be a collector fragrance if they quit making it.
