He doesn’t have a care in the world because cars are not allowed on Mackinac Island. ❤️
Mackinac Island has a small, year-round population of approximately 500 residents who help maintain the island’s unique character and keep essential services running. The best time to visit, however, is during the warmer months. This is when you'll find the island bustling with activity, and everything will be open for business (definitely not the case in the winter)
So pretty it looks like a postcard.
About 80% of. Mackinac Island is preserved as a state park, ensuring you'll come across a lot of well-maintained natural beauty. In-season you will also find plenty of indoor and outdoor adventure, learn rich history lessons, and be able to attend a host of festivals and well-organized events.
The best thing about this island, besides the beautiful scenery? No motor vehicles are allowed. Everyone gets around on foot, or by renting a bike, horse-drawn carriage, etc. It is an exceptional vacation destination in the state of Michigan. Definitely worth seeing, if given the opportunity.
Looks like a lovely place for a bike ride ~ thanks,
