Wordless Wednesday: Walking in a Whisker Wonderland

We have been fortunate that our cat has shown only a very mild interest in the Christmas Tree over the years. I see online though, that others are not so lucky. Some of you are definitely facing various cat-astrophes and twinkling tinsel turmoil that would leave Santa's elves running for cover, lolol!

I'm sorry that I'm laughing... Someone make a cat-proof tree that people love too!

  1. It's funny since most dogs don't seem to care about Christmas trees.

  2. Yep. Our kitty doesn't seem to care about our tree. So far so good.

Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.

  3. We used to put cheap unbreakable ornaments around the bottom of the tree for the cats.

  4. HA HA HA!!! I have a lot of friends with cats. So I get this picture. We have a pup and she stays far away from the tree. We are lucky.

  5. Smiling. Despite the fact that cats we have shared our lives with have tried to kill our Christmas tree - and ornaments.

  11. Our cats, when we had them :(, were into the tree. A LOT. They loved climbing it and taking ornaments off it.

  12. A cat-proof tree that also looks amazing would be a game-changer.
    Hugs and blessings, Rosey.

  13. When our cats were young they used to try to climb the Christmas tree and chew on the tree and play with the ornaments. But when they got to be senior cats, they didn't care as much - they still would lick the Christmas tree and sleep under the Christmas tree.

  14. We don't have a tree as we don't celebrate, so our cats have nothing to destroy lol. Cute cat!

  15. This is too cute! And this is real! :)

  16. Ha! This is exactly the reason we haven't put ours up yet. I'm scared, lol!

  17. This is too funny and honestly my cat is good with the tree as he is older...I am more worried about my new rescue pooch. I think the tree is in trouble LOL.

  18. The struggle with cats and Christmas trees is real, and I totally feel you on the cat-astrophes!

  19. OMG, that's awesome!!!! Only this morning I was watching some of those cat v Christmas tree videos. It's good your cat isn't that interested. I saw so many trees get knocked over and decorations broken.

  20. My cats are curious, but not too destructive. I have to admit I think cats are so funny, even when they are destructive.

  21. I am so nervous to put the tree up this year. My first cat never messed with the tree. She was mesmerized by the lights for a minute and would often fall asleep under the tree, but never climbed it or knocked ornaments off. My two Siamese we got last summer. I didn't put a tree up last year since we were so busy, so they've never experienced one. And I just got a black cat who it the epitome of a bull in a China shop, so between the two Siamese and the holy terror, I feel like my tree is going to be toast this year.

    1. Good luck with it. Hope they surprise you and ignore the tree entirely. :)

  24. My cat climbed the tree last year but I had a decent sized tree. I think this year she has left it alone. But my tree is only 4ft this year.
