Yes, the first time I saw a horse rolling around on the grass like dogs do, I literally drove back to make sure I was seeing right. The horse was clearly happy so I just drove on my merry way, knowing from that moment forward that horses indeed, do lie down, hahahaha
This did make me chuckle. We see horses sit down or sometimes even lie down as we live close to the farm but I am sure a lot of people don't realise that. Bless
I was asking this to my uncle that raises horse. honestly I didn't know this. And he explained it to me so that I could unstand it. thanks for sharing this with us.
Bwahahahahahaha. People don't know this? You made me laugh out loud.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday, my friend. ♥
Sandee, it's meeee!! I'm one of those people. I didn't know. For some reason, I thought they didn't lie down, hahahahahahaha
DeleteAhaha. That is awesome. A lot of people think that horses suffocate under their own weight if they lay down, but it's not true.
ReplyDeleteYes, the first time I saw a horse rolling around on the grass like dogs do, I literally drove back to make sure I was seeing right. The horse was clearly happy so I just drove on my merry way, knowing from that moment forward that horses indeed, do lie down, hahahaha
DeleteNot a sign I have ever seen. And yes, horses DO lie down.
ReplyDeleteI was super late to the game in knowing this, hahaha. The sign gives me comfort that I'm not the only one lolol
DeleteHORSES is a Patti Smith CD. Your post inspired me to give it a listen for the first time in years!
ReplyDeleteShe is a fabulous singer!
DeleteI think it's just a natural reaction lol
ReplyDeleteHave a neightastic week and Christmas Rosey 🎄🎄🎄🎄👍
Hope you have a horse-load of cheer yourself! :)
DeleteGood to know there are kind-hearted people out despite their ignorance.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thursday, Rosey!
Smiling at you always looking at the bright side. xoxo
DeleteThis is hilarious. Can you imagine getting a 911 call about a horse lying down? Police: Ma’am are your horses ok? Hahahaha!
ReplyDeleteThe first time is probably startling, and then I'm sure it gets annoying if it happens again, hahaha
DeleteThat's a rare signboard. Hadn't seen before but yes Horses do need to lie down ☺️
ReplyDeleteIn hindsight, I'm thinking of course they do, but I didn't know for years!
DeleteLol this is so awesome I’m gonna let my dad and my husband see this
ReplyDeleteMade me laugh too. :)
DeleteI love that signage lol a lot of people thinks horses are suffocating when they lay down. Thanks for sharing this with us!
ReplyDeleteYes, this!! Horses are so big and they have a plethora of myths surrounding them too, that being one of them!
DeleteThis is such a funny sign! I grew up around horses - sometimes they need a rest too.
ReplyDeletesometimes they deserve that rest, for sure. :)
DeleteHaha this is such an amusing sign! It would startle me too.
ReplyDeleteMust happen a lot, they have it made up nice and professional lol!
DeleteHahaha, this made my evening. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteHi Sonia!! Happy Holidays to you!
DeleteVery funny! I didn't know this! Haha wishing you and yours a very merry christmas!
ReplyDeleteWishing you and yours the same, Tammy!
DeleteThis is funny a sign had to be made. But I'm sure it looks weird to see this giant animal passed out on the ground!
ReplyDeleteYes, they're so big!! I saw a moose plowing through a ton of snow on Instagram yesterday. He was flying too. That one made me do a double take too.
Deletelmao lmao lmao...That is so funny...I have no idea how you come across these, they're so funny.
ReplyDeleteThis owner took care to get a sign that would last too. I'm pretty sure that's metal, lolol
DeleteI haven't seen horses lie down very often, but I do know they lie down lol.
ReplyDeleteSuch an unusual thing to drive by!
Deletewow! This is funny! But it's useful to know! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's funny too that they had a sign made. Makes me feel better that I'm not the only who didn't always know. ;)
DeleteMany people don't know this, but all animals lay down for a little while. If they won't get back up is the problem.
ReplyDeleteHa! Renee, yes, that would definitely be a bigger problem.
DeleteI can only imagine the amount of times this had to have happen for them to put up a sign!
ReplyDeleteThat's what I was thinking! :)
DeleteI would have totally thought that the horses were sick. I rode horses for a few years, too! Lol.
ReplyDeleteThis did make me chuckle. We see horses sit down or sometimes even lie down as we live close to the farm but I am sure a lot of people don't realise that. Bless
ReplyDeleteHahaha, omg I've seen so many people falling for this. It legit look dead from far lool. This is good sign to avoid calling for false alarm.
ReplyDeleteAmusing and useful!
ReplyDeleteI always wondered if they ever lied down. Very cool to know and I would have to have a double take too!
ReplyDeleteThat is funny!
ReplyDeleteLove this and run all honestly I would gave freaked too as I never have seen one lay down. I always wondered if they ever did... thank you!
ReplyDeleteI never knew horses can lie down. Such a cool thing.
ReplyDeleteTill many years I also thought versus lie down only after they die. Some firsthand experience at stables fixed that idea for me!
ReplyDeleteThis sign is so amusing and funny. Thanks for sharing this with us.
ReplyDeleteI was asking this to my uncle that raises horse. honestly I didn't know this. And he explained it to me so that I could unstand it. thanks for sharing this with us.
ReplyDeleteLOL I'd probably be worried if I saw a horse laying in a field too!
ReplyDeleteI've not came across this signage before, as I'm not horsing a lot here. It's good to read & good to know here. Cheers Siennylovesdrawing
ReplyDeleteHorse is rarely seen in my place so I'm not sure about my reaction in this case haha.
ReplyDeleteIf I saw one laying down, I would probably call for help too if I didn't know this just now.
ReplyDeleteHa! This is funny, but obviously necessary. I'd be startled to find one laying down, too!
