Bold Made has created a new twist on an old favorite (no pun intended): Old Maid. This card game has the same kind of matching concept, but the women depicted in the pictures on them is someone who has made a bold and positive impact on society in one way or another.
There are 40 women in 10 categories. Matching is still an integral part of the game, however, there are action cards thrown in such as 'blocked' that help keep the game interesting until the very last play. This game is interesting and fun to play, and it's a great way to engage the kids in learning without them even realizing what's going on. In no time at all, they'll be spouting off facts about these famous women, and maybe even taking the initiative to research them and their accomplishments, outside of game time. As a high school teacher, I can tell you, I love games that make learning effortless, and this one falls into that category.
Bold Made takes about 15 minutes to play and is for 2-4 players. It is recommended for ages 3+ but is fun for everyone, including adults.
You can purchase BOLD MADE on Amazon.
Taco vs. Burrito is a little more complicated to play than Bold Made, but it is just as fun. Another unique game, each player sets out to create a 'meal' out of their hand, and along the way there can be steals, swaps and 'oh no' moments (like a visit from the health inspector) that keep you on the edge of your seat.
Taco Tuesday is a thing for my oldest granddaughter. They make a whole night of it at their house, and I know this game is going to fit right in. Fun fact? This game, loved by all ages, was created by a 7-year -old child.
It takes about 15 minutes to play and is for 2-4 players (more if you buy the foodie expansion pack) It is recommended for ages 7+
Let the food fight begin! This is a great for game night, or any time family fun.
My family and I like to play card games when we get together once and awhile, so these would make the perfect gift for my sister who’s usually the driving force when we play. Thanks so much!
