There are so many things you can do with the potato, and it’s really quite amazing what you might want to try out for yourself here at home. Some of these things are well-known and others less so, but they all share the quality of bringing out everything that is amazing about potatoes. All in all, it’s a really good idea to try these dishes, so let’s take a look right now at some of the best ways to cook and prepare potatoes in your own home. Potato Bake

This is a very simple way to make potatoes truly delicious. All you have to do is slice some potatoes nice and thin and then layer some of them in an ovenproof dish. Over the top of that layer, sprinkle melted cheese and some cream. Then repeat these layers several more times, until you have quite a few. This is an incredible dish that will really blow people away - and it’s made even better if you are able to put some butter through it too. Not the healthiest meal, but very delicious and a real favorite.

Dumplings

Essentially, dumplings are just potato made into balls and then cooked, often fried but they can also be oven baked as well. Good dumplings are an amazing thing to come across, and if you take a look in particular at this recipe for German potato dumplings, you are going to be amazed at the taste that you can get out of the humble potato. Fries

Of course, one of the most popular forms of potato around the world is to turn them into fries. If you have never tried this at home before, it’s a really simple thing to do. All you need to do is slice up potatoes into the right shape for fries and then boil them until they are just soft. Then you can either deep fry them, throw them in an air fryer or simply put them in the oven.

Mash

Finally, who doesn’t love mash? To make the best mash potato, make sure that you boil the potato until it is very soft, and then whip some butter and milk through them, and a little mustard if you like, along with some seasoning. Be sure to mash it until you get all of the lumps out, and then keep it on low over the heat so that it emulsifies too. For an extra something, you can also put some onions in there when you boil the potatoes and then leave them in. Either way, the mash is delicious.

Perfume

And my contribution today is perfume, lolol. Most of you know I am a perfume nut, so believe me, I was cracking up when I saw this potato company produced perfume...and it SOLD OUT very fast. Cracks me up. I'm a perfume lover and a potato lover, but perhaps, this is taking it too far. ;)
