Even though it is still way, WAY too early to do any actual Christmas decorating, now is the time to start getting ready for the upcoming holidays! Start making your preparations immediately to avoid having a stressful holiday season due to supply delays and shortages.

Put your feet up, grab a cup of something to drink, a notebook or your computer, and your calendar, and do a mental inventory of everything you typically do, everything you need to do, and everything you want to do during the holiday season, beginning perhaps in the middle of October and continuing through the New Year's celebrations. Include everything: family traditions, church or work or community activities you need to participate in or want to participate in, persons to whom you want to give gifts, foods or gifts you want to make, meals you want to serve, parties you intend to host or attend, and so forth.
