What are You Drinking Out of This Summer?

I'm so excited about these, and can you really blame me? One is extremely functional and perfect to stay hydrated all summer long, the MyBevi tumbler, and the other (from Well Told Design) is a literature lover's dream (the Jane Eyre mug).

My teenager thinks I'm a bit ridiculous to get excited over drinkware, but when you know, you know. I think it's ridiculous that he gets excited over 'sneakers' that look like moon shoes, but I still buy them for him because you like what you like, and I like both of these for my summer drinks!💕

If you are a literature lover, like I am (for sure) than this mug might be right up your alley too. When I was a child...from the time I could read until the time I left home to be on my own, I was a voracious reader. I was the kid that walked to the library (close enough to walk to from where we lived) and perused the library languorously and at will. Sometimes I would spend hours in there.

I remember the look and feel of the children's section, and how it felt to transition to the 'grown-up' section years later. When I was old enough to walk upstairs to the glass floor (where you had to have adult supervision) and look through the non-fiction adult books (travel, biographies, etc.) I remember thinking it was all that and then some... and I still do. Whenever I go back to my hometown, I always take a trip to that library.

I can't say fiction or non-fiction is my favorite genre because I love them both. One will fill you with knowledge and wonder, the other piques your imagination, and for me as a teen, the Brontë sisters were everything! Emily Brontë wrote Wuthering Heights, which I loved, and Charlotte Brontë wrote Jane Eyre. So not only did this mug from Well Told Design rustle up some nostalgia but it also instantly became my new favorite drinking vessel for the a.m. This is the one that will go to the beach with me early in the morning before the sun gets too hot. This is the one that will remind me to slow down and pick up a book (like I always say I'm going to do, but never seem to get around to doing).  The odds are in my favor now however, because I just won a book giveaway on Sandee's blog: Comedy Plus and I have my new literature mug. Yay! Now I have two A+ reasons to remember to pick up that book, grab my mug of coffee and READ!

While I'm getting giddy over beverage holders, let's talk about this Premium Steel Vacuum Insulated Tumbler from mybevi. I love it so very much, but I knew I wasn't going to keep it because I have a very good friend named Bev and we call her Bevie. I would be remiss if I didn't hand this over to her. HOWEVER, I do love this so much that I have another in my shopping cart as we speak, and that one is going to be for me. 😍

What makes this tumbler so special? Well, it keeps beverages hot, which is awesome for work days, and it keeps them ice cold which is good for play days!! It's hot in south Florida and we like to be outside. We rarely if ever go without an ice cold drink to stay hydrated. Mine is going to be constantly filled with ice water or iced coffee (depending on my mood). I intentionally took this picture of the little hook handle so you can see it. This is hardcore, sturdy plastic, not anything flimsy. That means you can actually use this hook and carry your drink from one finger if you need to (and that may sound funny, but you'd be surprised how many times I need to do just that).

It's pretty too. Check out the website to see the different colors and designs. I love this purple one, but I decided to get fancy and am ordering The Hollywood Tumbler that looks like this but has a replica diamond band going across the middle. Those are lovely too and would look really good sitting on my desk.  A good reminder to drink my water! Big Plus: you can get them monogrammed if you'd like (perfect for me so no one can swipe it...something that unfortunately does sometimes take place at my place of employment).

We need to talk about this lid too... super clear so you can see how much of your drink is left. It also has a stopper so you don't spill anything AND the biggest lip I've ever seen on a tumbler, making it super easy to drink. Listen, if you hate those stupid paper straws (and yes, I am glad they are better for the environment, but they are just awful), keep one of these tumblers in your car to transfer any of your drinks. This is WAY better than drinking from a paper straw. That big lip makes for a very comfortable drink.
