Back when a tank of gas didn't cost more than groceries.
I'm not sure what year this is from...it's definitely before my time (and I can't say that a lot lately). 😄
It is appropriately located just outside of the Antique Car Museum in Put-in-Bay, Ohio
Oh - that's before my time too ... but they're always fun to see ... and appropriately placed. Cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteIt's sadly getting ridiculous now our energy bills here have sky rocketed too as well as petrol
ReplyDeleteHave a nostalgic week Rosey 👍
Those old pumps are so cool. One of my neighbors has one in his front yard.
ReplyDeleteI remember when I first started driving, gas was only $0.99 a gallon. Gone are the days. I wonder how much it costed when that antique pump was in use?
ReplyDeleteI'd say from the 1930's. They certainly are interesting.
ReplyDeleteLove it - so vintage! Love discovering things like these out and about. Definitely a step back in time.
ReplyDeleteI can remember gas at 19.9 cents per gallon and my father complaining about how high it was. Times never change.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. ♥
We could really use this right now. Looking at gas prices in California scare me with how high they are getting.
ReplyDeleteThat is super cool! I love stuff like this!
ReplyDeleteIt's before my time too. I've never seen one like this!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thursday, Rosey!
Oh my gosh I wish I could time travel right now and live life when the times were simpler!
ReplyDeleteThe price of gas has given me anxiety these past few days. I know that soon basic commodities will also increase in price. Wish we could all go back to the time when life was easier.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, I've never seen one of those before. Guessing it's well before my time too!!!
ReplyDeleteEverything soo expensive. This is so cool. THanks for sharing with us.
ReplyDeleteEven when I first started driving about 14 years ago I remember petrol being under £1 for a litre, which to think about now is crazy x
ReplyDeleteCrazy how time changes a lot of things over time! It's true that everything costs more now.
ReplyDeleteOh wow I love finding things like this. It is so expensive nowadays
ReplyDeleteEverything is getting more and more expensive these days. I miss the old days
ReplyDeleteI also wish we could just travel back in time and experience the good old days.
ReplyDeleteVery cool to see that! Wish gas prices were a little lower nowdays.
ReplyDeleteThe cost of gas is (of course) outrageous. I don’t exactly keep track, but I wasn’t surprised to hear in the news that the cost is the highest ever in history.
ReplyDeleteHaha gas it outrageous right now!
ReplyDeleteI have never those before, but it looks super cool. I guess we need it now that gas is almost like gold, lol.
ReplyDeleteWell said, the price of gas is just so high at the moment, we have to start walking more
ReplyDeleteTill now I've never known what those were hahaha but thank you for letting me know haha
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun flashback. I drive a hybrid / EV and there is an electric plug near me that looks like this.
ReplyDeleteThese are the old pumps we had in my small town long after there weren't popular anymore.
ReplyDeleteWow! I hope we have this one now, especially these days when fuel price is getting higher each day. Nice picture!
ReplyDeletethat is so sad how much costs of everything are changing all time and you often feel overwheled with wrong bills prediction
ReplyDeletelol I miss those days. Things were a lot cheaper for sure...What is going on now is crazy!
ReplyDeleteThis is so cool. I was in the area last year!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah I miss gas being cheap!
ReplyDeleteThere's an old gas station in my town that has old pumps like these. So interesting!
ReplyDeleteNice to see something from the olden days.
ReplyDeleteI love those old time gas pumps!
ReplyDeleteThis is pretty cool. I like old things.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I don't have to go to work every day, but I still take Isaak to school. That's to, back, pick-up and back again.
When I start to think about how high it is, I try and think about how glad I am that I don't live in Russia or the Ukraine right about now.
