If you are thinking about visiting Las Vegas, and you have never done so before, then there are a lot of things that you will want to bear in mind. In truth, even if you have done it before you might want to be aware of some of the things that you have not done in the past, and this is one of the real joys about Vegas: it always provides you with plenty of new and fresh excitement, every time. Let’s take a look at some of the things to do and see in Vegas you might not have thought of before, so you can really make the most of your trip.
Eat Brunch
You might not know it, but Vegas is actually a great place to eat some of the best food, and nowhere is this seen more clearly than by having brunch somewhere off the strip. When it comes to brunch off the strip Las Vegas has plenty on offer, and you will find that you are spoiled for choice when you do go there to eat this kind of food. Of course, eating is always necessary on any trip, but you might as well do it right by eating the best food you can find.
Explore Fremont Street
This street is to be found in the very heart of downtown Las Vegas, and it is one of the most unique and interesting parts of the city to go and visit. It is a pedestrianised thoroughfare, and it’s full of some of the most incredible stores, live entertainment, and even a zip line going through it too. If you go to Vegas but not Fremont Street, you really are missing out on a lot, so make sure not to make that mistake next time you choose to go.
Visit The Grand Canyon
Of course, another great reason to visit Las Vegas is that it is the nearest big city to the Grand Canyon, itself one of the primary visitor and tourist attractions throughout the entire of the US. Visiting the Grand Canyon is definitely worth doing if you have not done so already, as it is going to be the kind of place that you can really enjoy and it’s an incredible sight to behold for anyone. Make sure you at least put in some time for this if you are to be visiting Las Vegas some time soon.
Check Out Neon Boneyard
This unusually named place is actually a kind of graveyard of the old neon signs used in Las Vegas throughout its history, and it’s in many respects a much more fascinating kind of look at the city than you might get elsewhere in the city. It is a truly unique perspective from which you can see something of the history of this fascinating and sometimes strange city. It’s worth checking out if you want to get a different vibe altogether compared to somewhere like the strip. You’ll be amazed at how different it really is from the traditional Vegas vibe.
Last time we were in Vegas we went to Fremont street. It was still busy, but nothing like the strip. We didn't go to Grand Canyon but instead went north(ish) to Zion National Park which was gorgeous!

ReplyDeleteWe loved Freemont Street. My aunt and uncle did their anniversary in Vegas every year for 30+ years and they insisted that Freemont Street was at the top of our itinerary when we went. For seasoned Vegas travelers, we took their advice and didn't regret it one bit.
