Under the Barnyard Light is a book written by Carla Crane Osborne that details a young girl helping to take care of the animals on her farm, after the sun has gone down. She is responsible, loving and warm. She is also very relatable to children. She's doing what she is supposed to do, but she's still expressing the feelings and thoughts that children her age might, while she is doing them.
My granddaughter has always loved to read books, and I am so very thankful to say that is true. Today's children seem to gravitate more towards electronics, and my grandbabe likes to do that too, but she likes to read just as much. Books are not cheap, so when we decide to buy, we want to make sure it's a book that is age appropriate for whichever child is going to own it, and something that we like. This meets both categories for my baby grand who is 7-years-old. As you can see from the photo above, it's also a hardback book that is a really nice size. We really enjoyed the story and the pictures in this one. I am happy to recommend it to those looking for a new book to add to their home collections. Recommended for ages 3+.
