It's time for back-to-school and for us that means updating the wardrobe with items from Brooklyn Cloth. This is a company who makes comfortable clothes that are also trendy (things the boy likes!) and affordable (raising my hand high, that's something that makes me super happy). I also like that they last a long time. When you have a growing middle-schooler, finding clothes that grow a bit with him, matters a lot.
This Royal Blue Boys' Embroidered Rose Striped Shirt for instance, is a little oversized, but still looks great. It's also made of super soft 60/40 cotton/poly blend that is machine washable (in fact, all of these items are machine washable). He likes this shirt because it meets the dress code at his school, but still allows him to have a little flair (the unusual embroidery and his favorite color of blue). The longer length and looser fit of the sleeves will allow the shirt to last throughout most, if not all of the school year (and he's growing pretty fast these days). It can be tucked in or left out. He prefers the more casual style of leaving it out.
This one is lined fully with a super warm fleece, so it's going to be absolutely perfect when the temperature drops. It's also pretty stylish with the word 'Vibes' running down each sleeve.
Brooklyn Cloth is great if you are shopping for back-to-school. I do from personal experience (past and present) highly recommend the brand.

Brooklyn Cloth sells quite a selection of joggers for men and boys, and this twill pair in charcoal has a great slim fit that can also be dressed up or dressed down. Again, my son likes the more relaxed look and has paired his with athletic shoes. You can see he also put some red socks on. I'm not sure if he did that on purpose to match the embroidered rose on his shirt or not. I highly suspect he did not (he's more of a reach-in-the-sock-drawer-and-go kind of kid), but it turned out cool just the same.
You can get the joggers in a variety of colors. We chose the charcoal because it's versatile enough to go with a lot of other colors, and it doesn't get dirty as fast as the lighter colors might. That's important for us because this kiddo is very athletic and he plays hard.
These joggers are 98% cotton and 2% spandex. They have pockets on the front and back (each side) and a drawstring that ties at the front (we needed that string because my son has a super slender waist but he's too tall to fit in a smaller size).
They also have a tapered bottom and some great seam work going on all the way down the outside, as well as circling around the legs (right about at the knees).
Back-to-school wouldn't be back-to-school without a cool hoodie. I'm not sure why the kids wear hoodies in the temperatures we are having in Florida right now, but they surely do...every single day. While my son doesn't want to wear it until he needs it, he does love having some hanging in his closet for when the days get cooler (and they will).
This one is lined fully with a super warm fleece, so it's going to be absolutely perfect when the temperature drops. It's also pretty stylish with the word 'Vibes' running down each sleeve.
The color block contrast is great and this has instantly become my favorite hoodie that my son owns (and he loves it too).
They are also great items to wear for an ice cream treat after school, and what kid doesn't deserve that when school gets back in session (kids work hard in middle school!)? 😊 They have clothing for children and adults. Learn more about Brooklyn Cloth by visiting their website. You can also follow them on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter and/or YouTube.
We focus on the Gen-Z and Millennial consumer, someone who isn’t defined by style, but likely to mix high and low and dresses the way they feel that day. What makes our product unique is that we design from the textile level. We work with yarn mills to produce our textiles that are exclusive to Brooklyn Cloth. Thank you for giving our brand a try and we are looking forward to having you be part of the #BKFAM.

ReplyDeleteReally nice ad comfortable outfits! He looks very happy :)
ReplyDeleteI have a problem with both my boys being the same shape as yours, tall but no waist to hold up their pants! Luckily since they are still so young their pants come with the adjustable waistband on the inside. My boys are both always about the comfort, too!
ReplyDeleteHe sure is stylin' away. Great when you can get well made for affordable prices. Can't say I'd wear a hoodie in such heat though, unless there were lots of bugs, then maybe.
ReplyDeleteHe's handsome and a great model too. Excellent.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day and week, my friend. ♥
Your son looks so sharp! I love these looks, but what I love more is how affordable they are. I have three kids, so I like affordable.

ReplyDeleteThe hoodie looks great, makes you soon look very cool. I don't get it why teens love hoodies so much, especially in hot weather but I guess if it makes them look cool, why not? haha

ReplyDeleteHe looks so grown up all of a sudden! Maybe it's the cool boy clothes he's wearing :)
ReplyDeleteMan, the hoodies in this hot weather just kill me. All the kids wear them these days, hot or cold. Leah wore one every day in New York and we were there when the heat index was 106! I was sweating just looking at her!
Ok, I am really missing my school days. It feels like I want to go back to school again after seeing the pictures of your sun. Lol
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh about the hoodies. It's a style that apparently doesn't care how it feels outside. Christopher has worn short sleeves when I felt like he needed a jacket, and he's worn a hoodie when it was too hot in the house for it. How did you get the bus picture? Was it parked and abandoned?
ReplyDeleteBrooklyn Cloth clothes look comfortable. Perfect outfits for school.
ReplyDeletethe shirt looks very comfy and breathable. I like that it isn't littered with name brands everywhere.
ReplyDeleteWe start back-to-school next week and my daughter can't wait to see her friends again. Finding affordable and good quality clothes for kids might be really difficult sometimes! I remember that I loved to vear wear hoodies all the time too!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute boys clothes! I have 2 boys and they aren't always easy to shop for, this looks great for back to school.
ReplyDeleteThose are cute outfits and suits him well. Btw, he seems a charming boy.
