Here's the latest bundle of sweet joy that we have added to our family. Meet my daughter's daughter, which in and of itself has a special ring. She is super chill, and recently has become super smiley and she lights up like a lamp post when she sees or hears her mama. She is a joy, and I love her only the way a grandmama can love her precious new grandbaby (grandparents everywhere are shaking their heads in agreement). I don't see my grandchildren as much as I would like to, so when I visit, I like to bring along a little gift. Not every time, of course, but I'm not ashamed to admit, I do this a lot of the time. ;) Gotta spoil 'em while I can...and all that good stuff. I make sure to bring the 'good stuff' too. No cheap-o, never gonna use gifts from me; I have 4 kids of my own, and a pretty good handle now on what it is the little one's like.
This Lights and Stripes Zebra from VTech offers a variety of textures for tactile awareness. It also has the black and white colors that have been said to appeal very much to babies. I'm supposing that when our little bundle of lovies gets a little older, this will be a toy she wants to pick up and carry around with her too. Right now she still sleeps a lot, and appreciates her parents more than any other thing when it comes to bringing on the smiles, but I know toy days are right around the corner, and I came to our latest visit with this delightful little gift for her. It is recommended for ages 0-24 months, and is sold in stores everywhere.
Dance all day with the Lights & Stripes Zebra™. Upbeat music and playful sing-along songs encourage your baby to move and groove. This zippy plush zebra features bold black and white stripes, colorful patterned fabric and a variety of textures to enhance tactile awareness. The friendly zebra’s tummy plays endearing phrases and introduces colors through catchy songs while glowing in five different colors. The plush zebra has a washable surface with removable electronics. This snuggly striped sidekick is perfectly sized for your little one to hug and bring on the go! Intended for birth+. Requires two AAA batteries. Batteries included for demo purposes only, new batteries recommended for regular use.
The Leap Frog Butterfly Counting Pal is another great gift idea for children ages 1-month to 24-months.
It has big colorful numbers, with a soft-touch surface that are going to make it so easy for your little ones to learn colors and counting. Each button plays a cute song and the wings light up. This toy can be attached to baby's crib, car seat or stroller as well, making it a good portable option for parents needing to entertain their children on the go. I like that it is a teaching toy, with music, but I also love that it's cute; and it is really, really cute.
Enjoy a flutter of color with the Butterfly Counting Pal™ plush learning toy. Five colorful number buttons play a variety of songs to teach colors and numbers. A kaleidoscope of color, Butterfly’s light-up wing shows the colors of the rainbow. She also helps your baby fall asleep with soft, classical melodies. Each segment of this on-the-go toy features a section that crinkles, squeaks or has interesting textures to help develop motor skills and build tactile awareness. Learn at home or on the fly by using the included straps to secure the butterfly to infant carriers and strollers. Intended for ages birth +. Requires two AA batteries. Batteries included for demo purposes only, new batteries recommended for regular use.
Might I add that both of these gifts make great baby shower gifts ideas as well? I'll be taking the Butterfly Counting Pal to the baby shower for my second-oldest son's little one, who is due at the beginning of next year. We've got a lot of great big blessings running around this family. Things get to be very different when the kids grow up, move out and start families of their own...and while I miss having them at home, I love that they are successfully starting families of their own. For me there was no bigger joy, and for them, I hope they always feel the same way. I wish them lots of unconditional love and blessings. Of course, I wish the same for my grandbabes...but I also wish for them...toys. Lots and lots of wonderful toys. 😍

ReplyDeleteThe toys sound great, but the next time I'm in the market for baby toys will be for our great grandchildren, and since none of the grands are married yet, I think we're gonna have to wait a little while for that. :)

ReplyDeleteSo cute! The toy and your grandbaby! I bet you love spending time rocking that one! The toy is so colorful and fun. Did you know that at first babies can only see in black and white. It isn't until 5 months they can see colors. Then they are all about colors.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your new granddaughter! She's adorable and so are all the toys! I loved buying V Tech and LeapFrog toys for my kids when they were little.
ReplyDeleteWhat a little beauty! I can see why you're so smitten with her ♥ Vtech and Leapfrog do have some of the best educational toys for children. I love how colorful and durable they are, too!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty idea to give cute baby gifts for babies. As I am thinking about what to buy for my upcoming twins, so i look on internet where I found your blog and I think that toys should be perfect gifts for twin baby boys that also helps them to motivate and learner about new things.
