Here are the pet loves in our family. On the left is our 11-year-old cat Honey and on the right is my oldest son's puppy who is less than a year in age. We were at their house on Mother's Day and my granddaughter raced me to her front door. I let her beat me, not thinking in a million years that she would lock me out to try and be funny (totally forgot that kids do that). Her dad laughed and let me in, but when he did, their puppy slipped by me. He told me to grab her, but I tried and she bolted. Insert OMG.
They love their little sweet puppy and my granddaughter was upset. My oldest and youngest were out on their hunt and we were going in the slightly opposite direction, just in case. Of course, the puppy was going towards the big road (again, insert OMG) and was having NO part of any of us trying to recapture her. She had her freedom, no fear of danger and was on her merry little four-legged way. Thankfully, my oldest got her (need I say again, OMG) and I was so relieved. Believe you me, I was extra careful any time anyone in their place including me, was near that door for the remainder of our visit. All is well that ends well, but it was a hairy half an hour!!
My son is not only a great daddy, he is also a great doggy daddy. One of the things he is doing for his four-legged little darling is using Musher's Secret on her paws. Why? Because Florida is h.o.t. this time of year, with no end in sight for quite a few months. He takes her to the dog park regularly, and on walks. Both require that her little (getting no so little) paws end up on hot pavement. This non-greasy formula does the trick to protect her precious pads, and it doesn't leave grease marks on my son's car seat covers, if he's taking her on a ride or over to the aforementioned doggy play ground. It is great to use before you take your dogs to the beach too (sand can get HOT!). This is a great product to use on paws of pets who roam around outside in the winter months as well! I wish it would have been around when I was a kid. Our little dog hated to go outside in the snow. It was hard on her little paws!
Take time to care for your pet’s tender paws with the all-season, all-natural paw protection of Musher’s Secret, a blend of 100% purest, natural waxes including white and yellow Beeswax, Carnauba wax and Candelilla wax and vegetable oils with Vitamin E. Coat your pets paw with this dense, barrier wax that will absorb quickly and form a breathable bond with your dog’s paw allowing perspiration to escape through their toes. Save your pets paws and provide them the comfort they deserve in extreme heat and in snow conditions; Musher's Secret also can speed the healing of an existing sore by keeping debris and dirt out of a wound. For year-round protection provide 1 time per week. Ideal for all kinds of dogs - working, mushing, ski-jorring, hunting, seeing-eye and our pets at home sweet home. Non-toxic and non-allergenic.

Though he has a pup, and we have a cat, one thing we are both using is the HandsOn Gloves that come in adult and youth sizes. These gloves are great for many things, but the primary concern we both have is shedding. I end up with tufts of fur all over the place if we don't use these regularly, and I like them way better than the cat brush we got that fills up with every single stroke. They are far easier to maintain and work just as well. Both the cat and the pup like to be rubbed down while we are wearing these, and the hair it takes off of them is really just dandy!
This photo just illustrates the difference in size between the youth and adult pairs, with the size for the youngsters, being of course the ones shown on the top.
You can see that the bottom has various nubs on it that remove loose pet hair, while delivering the massage of a lifetime to them. Well, I don't know if they consider it a massage, but I'd like to think so since they stand super still, clearly enjoying their rub down while you have these on.
The easy close at the wrist makes them adjustable for your wrist size, and the material on top is soft and breathable too.
We appreciate tools like these in the family, for our beloved house pets. Anything that makes our life easier without stressing them out, is a big win-win. Yikes on that pup getting out. It's awful when it happens. I'm glad it turned out well.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day,. ♥
This is one of the sweetest posts I've seen in a while. All pets could use some more dedication like this!
ReplyDeleteThat paw protector is great. How I wish it had been introduced (or I knew about it) decades ago.
ReplyDeleteI hear you on the fur too. If I could only knit I would have enough (each week) to knit another cat.
Them getting out sure isn't grand indeed, especially with a busy road nearby as many pups are rather happy go lucky and think those big cars will magically stop for them. After 1100 dogs or so, I've seen many.
ReplyDeleteGreat to keep the paws happy indeed. The gloves look like winners, know a few kitties who could use them.
Oh I want those gloves! My dog sheds when the weather is too hot and he hates the dog brush. I think these gloves are more gentle and I know my dog would love the extra loving he'll get!
ReplyDeleteMusher's secret seems like a great choice for my pets. I want to try for my pets.
ReplyDeletelol what a way to spoil a pet with a free massage. i guess this is one way to bring the spa for pets into the home.
ReplyDeleteThe hands on gloves seem like a good item to have. They seem to be very useful from your description. Lavern Moore
ReplyDeleteIt sounds wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI might just get it for our pet who has been ailing for some time. He'd appreciate it.
I've seen ads for those mitts with the scratchers. I so wish I could have pets. All the stuff out there looks fun to review.
ReplyDeleteGlad they got the puppy back and all was well afterwards. Having a dog bolt can be scary, indeed!
ReplyDeleteWe have a similar pair of pet hair gloves and my dogs LOVE to be brushed with them. Not only are they getting their hair done, but a good scratch/massage to boot!
