Let's Talk about BRIO with First Railway #Giveaway

So, let's talk camping! This My Home Town Camping Set from BRIO lets you pack the fam up (the wooden family, that is) and head out for a camping adventure. There's even room for Fido (because who wants to go camping without the family dog?).

I'm just crazy in love with these little people, made of real wood so you know they are going to last and last. In fact, this is the kind of toy you would literally be happy to keep in the family for generations of play. It stores nicely because it is compact, is fun for kids, and the wood pieces definitely ensure durability.

And there's the cute little pup. Bringing your little doggie along on a camping trip only adds to the fun, and this one, like the little people, is made of solid wood. He's got those cute little spots on him, and has a cheery look to him too.

There are (6) pieces in total. The car, canoe and trailer (all made primarily of heavy-duty plastic), as well as the two people and the dog (made of wood). The people and/or dog fit in the trailer, the people fit in the car, and there's room for the family/pets in the canoe too. You can also prop that canoe right up on top of the car, and put your pooch in the trailer, and everyone's ready to go. This is the kind of toy that allows kids to sit on the floor and get their imagination really moving (ha, that was punny, right?!).

BRIO has some games too. This Take Along Labyrinth is great for kids of all ages. Even though this is geared towards younger children (the top is sealed so the marbles won't get lost), my son who is 11, is going to like finding this under the Christmas Tree with his name on the package. He can play this at home (I'm thinking we'll have timed touraments ;) ) or he can bring it along in the car because it is conveniently and intentionally sized to be portable.

Wow! So much fun at the same time for the youngest train drivers. Start by building a track layout with the mountain blocks and the tunnel, and let your train go up and down and through the tunnel.
