Goliath has made the perfect game to give kids for Easter. Since my granddaughter has a Switch Fairy in her house (someone who switches candy out for much healthier options), this is a perfect gift to give her, so she still gets something special for the holiday. Jumping Jack is a cute little rabbit, who sits on the 'ground' that is stuffed with carrots. Pull the carrots out one-by-one (according to the number you get on the spinner), and at some point he will jump right up in the air. If it's your turn, and you catch him when he jumps, you become the winner!
We unwrapped our pieces, so we could play. Included are a cute Jack, the Bunny. A dirt bunny hill. 12 plastic carrots to placed in the dirt mound (or more nicely called, bunny hill), four colored baskets (up to 4 players), instructions and a spinner.
The game does NOT require batteries, which is a huge plus in my book, and it's just the kind of game kids of all ages love to play, though it's labeled for preschoolers.
Here is a close-up of the carrots so you can see how they stick into the side of the bunny hill.
Here is a picture with the carrots loaded. You give the spinner a go and it tells you how many carrots to remove (or not).
If you look closely in this picture, you can see my son's hand behind the bunny. That's NOT how you're supposed to play, lol. I re-read the rules to him. ;) The bunny jumping out is supposed to take you by surprise, and then if you catch it, you win the game. It is never the same carrot the triggers the jump.
We had a lot of fun with this game, and my son has asked to play it several thousand times since it came in the house. It has become imminently clear to me that we are going to have to purchase another for my granddaughter, and that's okay. If you're looking for the perfect Easter gift, that isn't candy, I say this one is it!! With this gift too, kids can continue to have Easter fun all year round.

That looks like such a fun game! I love games like this that get the kids excited. That kind of kinetic game play is always wonderful for them.
ReplyDeleteI love games that have a surprise element to them (like Pie Face). Goliath Games seem to have the best family board games!
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of the Switch fairy but it is a great idea to avoid all the candy kids get. I will look for this game to give as a gift for my nieces and nephews to play.
ReplyDeleteHow fun. The little ones would have lots of fun with this game and us older folks would have a great time watching them.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day. ♥
I think it looks so fun and cute! This is a game that the girl's grandma would be all over. Heck, even though they aren't preschoolers anymore, I could see her buying this to play with them still lol
ReplyDeleteHow fun is this? My boys would love to play this game!
ReplyDeleteIf it was a chocolate bunny, then you could eat him when you're finished playing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute game for little kids. I've never heard of a Switch Fairy, btw, and love the healthy concept of that and the game.

That sounds like a fun little one indeed. Having a surprise element keeps the players on their toes.
ReplyDeleteMy kids are not big on candy, so we always did non-sweet items for their Easter basket. This game would have been a huge hit.
ReplyDeleteThis is really cute! I am sure kids will enjoy this!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, what an adorable game. It looks like it would keep my kids busy for a while!
ReplyDeleteIf only my kids were still little I would get that toy! However, I do have young nephews and nieces who I know will have loads of fun with this. I am letting their moms know.
ReplyDeleteThis is a perfect game for Easter. My kids would have loved this when they were young.
