It's the little things right? When we moved into our new place, the one thing I wanted to get was a see-through toaster. I don't know why, I just think they're cool. That being said, I wanted to make sure that the brand of it was a quality one, so that my investment would be a lasting one, and not just a fly-by-night idea that would come and go. I chose the Cuisinart ViewPro Glass 2-Slice Toaster. The brand quality (Cuisinart has been around forever!) and the cool visibility feature of the toaster would have been reasons enough for me to love our new toaster, but...it gets better.
First and foremost, the glass is removable, so that makes it very easy to clean. I like that, a lot. Clear glass looks great when it's clean, but not so much when it's smudged. You know what I'm talking about, I know. I feel that way about stainless steel, and shiny black too (which coincidentally are both on this toaster as well, making it a shoe-in to match most any kitchen you put it in).
The touch screen allows you to select up to six different shades of toasting. The orange lights you see in the picture above, show that I selected #3 for my toast. There are also options on the side that you can adjust with a light touch,, You can choose a single size setting, an option for bagels which require extra toasting, or you can elect to either defrost or reheat your items. If you mess up? No problem. Simply hit the 'cancel' button and try again.
My son used this to make traditional toast for his Saturday morning bacon and eggs (a new duo he has come to enjoy).
I used it to toast a bagel. The extra-wide slots on the top allowed my breakfast to pop right in, and more importantly, to pop right out (if you've ever gotten a bagel stuck in a toaster, you totally know what I mean).
I love every single thing about this toaster. It would be a great addition to most any home. Please note too, if you're in the market for a small appliance for mom (for Mother's Day) or dad (for Father's Day which will be here too, before you even know it), this is a great gift option. I love mine!
You can learn more about the ViewPro 2-Slice Toaster by visiting the Cuisinart website. You can also follow them on Facebook and/or Twitter.
I had no idea there was actually a see-through toaster! I was watching a show the other day, and for the life of me I can't remember what it was...it may have been an old episode of Friends, and one of the characters said that it would be fantastic to have a toaster where you could see the bread while it toasted! This toaster looks great!
ReplyDeleteYou can never tell when your toast is really done in a normal toaster.
ReplyDeleteI think this is a great idea. No more burnt toast. Just saying.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day. ☺
Well this is definitely one of those gadgets that I'm like Why didn't I think of that?! How cool! I would love to have this in my kitchen!
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of a see-through toaster, but now I want one! I wouldn't burn my toast anymore ;) I love that the glass is removable for easy cleaning. I think this would make a great wedding gift. I have several weddings to attend this summer and will definitely keep this in mind when buying gifts.
ReplyDeleteThis is pretty amazing! I love that you can choose to have the bread in that position. It's really going to make toasting a bread easier.
ReplyDeleteI love that there's a glass instead of the usual design. It's going to allow you to see how toasted your bread is. This is a must have!
ReplyDeletei love toasted bread and this is cute!! very great idea, i like to see whhat's happening inside too! gonna have to check this out

We need one of these! I love bagels and toast and our toaster it terrible. I like that the glass is removable on this one to clean it. Very helpful. I need to grab one.
ReplyDeleteI want this for me!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have a toaster (that does bagels) that I love, but this one just seems SO COOL!!!! Not to mention, I am sure both kids would love watching it!
That is neat indeed. Much better way to keep an eye on things and to know when it is done.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea. I'm always looking down in the toaster. Burning my eye lashes!! Love this idea. Gotta have one now.
ReplyDeleteAhhh this is my dream toaster!! I am sooo jelly!
ReplyDeleteNice one to have in the kitchen! I love toast and to have it done just right is important for me. I like this Cuisinart toaster because you can actually see how your toast is browning.
ReplyDeleteThis would be nice to have. I love the see through glass feature, kinda looks like a mini oven. I'm going to check this one out, probably purchase too.
ReplyDeleteOhhhh, I want one!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great toaster! I love that you can see how toasted the bread is.
ReplyDeleteToo bad this one is not a giveaway.
ReplyDeleteOh this is a great toaster! I want this!
ReplyDeleteAs awesome as this toaster looks, $60 is pretty steep for something as uni-task as a toaster (that's not even a toaster oven). In using it do you really thing it's worth such a high price?
ReplyDeleteI had a Calphalon toaster years ago that was priced far higher. I loved that one, and I love this one the same. It's def. worth the price to me. :)
DeleteFirst time I have seen a glass toaster what a great idea you can judge what setting easier.
ReplyDeleteHave a crustytastic day Rosey (couldn't resist that one)
This is an awesome looking toaster! It has all the bells and whistles on it. Some would be in kitchen appliance envy! I know someone who would love this Mother's Day!
ReplyDeleteWe use our toaster all the time. It's great to have a good one.
ReplyDeleteThat's too funny, a window so you can watch your toast in the toaster. My husband might like this as he believes you have to watch the food you're cooking. That's why he's the cook because I prepare it, through it in the toaster, pot or whatever & let it cook itself. It works most of the time ... but a few burnt pots over the years.
ReplyDeleteWell I just love this. I have never seen a see through toaster, but I need to get one so I no longer have burnt toast! I also love that it toasts bagels! Awesome!
ReplyDeleteThat's really cool! Our toaster has just about bitten the dust, I'll have to check this out.
ReplyDeleteOn the off chance that you don't have to influence a huge bunch of treats at that point to heat your treats in your littler oven.
ReplyDeleteBrownies, cake, pie, and numerous different treats should be possible in it.
