Disclosure: This post is not sponsored. I just know it's travel season and I wanted to remind readers of this excellent option if they're headed to the Orlando area!
Looking for a family-friendly hotel to stay in while you're in the Orlando area? Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham, Lake Buena Vista Orlando is my suggestion. You can book a suite room with a full kitchen and living/dining room space for the same price or even less than you might find elsewhere for just a standard-sized room. That in itself is a major selling point for making your reservation, but there are others. I'll list the next top (3) below!
Reason #1. Location, location, location! Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham LBV/Orlando is smack dab in the middle of party central, yet it's not... What do I mean? If you stay in these suites, you are going to be centrally located to just about everything, including the four Disney World Theme Parks (buy your tickets on-site and use the shuttle to get there free!), Universal Studios (where the Blue Man Group also performs nightly), and Disney Springs, where you'll find many things to do, including fabulous dining, shopping, and places to visit/shows to see like Cirque Du Soleil . BUT you're also going to be secluded from busy traffic, and a lot of hub-bub. The hotel is on Palm Parkway, which is a quiet little street that cuts through the main roads, making it have a family-friendly, safe, almost secluded feel to it. It is a great place to relax and 'get away,' but it's also minutes away from most anything you need to get to, or see. It's also within walking distance of a small plaza.
You can learn more about the hotel by visiting their website. You can also follow them on Facebook, Twitter, and/or G+.

You couldn't find a better location! Close to everything, yet with a secluded feel to the property. |

Room Service, Complimentary Hot Breakfast Served Daily, Social Hour & Mgr. Reception
So many options! Full Kitchen in Suite Rooms, BBQ by the Pool!
So many options! Full Kitchen in Suite Rooms, BBQ by the Pool!
Reason #2. Food and Drinks (some of it free)!! First and foremost, you have the complimentary hot breakfast buffet that is huge and absolutely a star attraction. Many of the various items offered change daily and there is definitely something for everyone. But you also have an extensive room service menu, barbeque grills by the pool, free hot dogs, hamburgers and drinks on Wednesday's.. Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham LBV/Orlando also offers a 'Manager's Reception' on Wednesday evenings. This is where you can go and have a free hot dog or hamburger & a cold drink in the dining area, and socialize with other guests as well as meet the manager (see front desk for times). Each weeknight during a set time brings (2) free complimentary drinks and unlimited soft drinks. If you like to cook in your room, you can reserve one of the very reasonably-priced suites that has a full kitchen! When you're vacationing with family, it can get downright expensive, and every lit perk helps. If you're traveling alone, considerations like this can help cut costs too.
Reason #3. Though you probably will want to (because there is so much in the surrounding area to do!), you really don't even have to leave the grounds to have a fabulous time. The swimming pool and jacuzzi area is large, and it's surrounded by ample seating, a gazebo, the bbq grills I mentioned before, a sports court with a place to play basketball, and more. The inside of the hotel has a small but well-equipped gym, and a game room for the kids. Lots of room for reading, relaxing or just chilling out in the main lobby can be found, and there is also a large conference room, and a business center with computers and a printer/fax machine (if you are there to do work). A snack and small store area are in the front, if you're longing for things like ice cream or a cold drink (but you don't really want to go out). Truly, whether you're looking for a place to just chill, or a nice place to come back to at the end of a busy day, the Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham LBV/Orlando is worth checking out. We stayed there in May, and loved every minute of it. Because I have already reviewed this hotel (and if you haven't seen that post, or would like to re-visit it...either of which I would love, you can find it here), I'll be turning off comments for this post. Like I said, it's not a sponsored post, I just wanted to remind you of the awesome option you have in Hawthorn suites by Wyndham LBV Orlando, when you're heading to the area. Please feel free to share the post on social media, I'd love to get the word out. :) Let the summer vacations begin!
