You know how it is when you find a hotel you love so much you wish you had an extra day of vacation just to chillax while you're there? That's exactly what we found with the Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa. We had a busy agenda while we were in Orlando, and it included things such as Disney World and a marriage proposal (my 2nd oldest to his now-fiancée). That didn't leave us a bunch of time to enjoy the resort, so we made sure to make the most of the time we did have while we were there.
Completely off task...but I must ask, did you know fiancé with one 'e' is a man engaged to be married. If there are two 'e's' it designates the woman. I did not know that until today...blogging is a wealth of information for me ;) ).
There are several buildings to house the rooms, and in the main building there was a business center with computers and printers, and several resting areas. My kids liked this one here with the television and electric fireplace.
The pool was so awesome to us that I featured it in a "Not So Wordless Wednesday" post. This area had a zero-entry pool with teeny tiny beach seats in the back for the children (complete with a jacuzzi for kids), and a ton of seating (including roof seating for the adults). It also had hammocks, an activity and play area, full service drinks and dining, and jacuzzis for the grown ups too. The big ship you see in the corner is actually a slide. You go to the top and come through to a hole on the bottom of the side. Very cool. :)
There were also men and women's bathrooms on the premises and little niceties, like suntan lotion if you forgot your own. That's a big plus for me because though I rarely do it anymore, there have been times in my life when I've taken the kids out in the hot sun only to remember...uh oh, we have to go back for the suntan lotion.
This was the view of the pool from our second bedroom in the suite. This is one of the nicest pools I've seen. They've really thought of everything you can think of for awesome poolside relaxation or fun.
I can't say enough great things about the room. The master bedroom was amazing with a big, very comfortable bed...
a walk-in shower, and a tub with jets. My youngest utilized this tub on the first day, and my oldest couldn't resist on the last day. :) There was also a very large walk-in closet with a vacuum cleaner inside (hurrah! first resort I've seen that included one, and I was glad to have it. Of course it's the one stay we ended up not needing it (isn't that the way), but it was still a nice touch.
The second bedroom had two beds, a walk-in closet and a great poolside view.
It also had it's very own bathroom, which is always nice, especially when you have three women getting ready in the mornings, which we did. :)
The dining room table had six-seats and was large enough to comfortably accomodate family dinners.
The kitchen had all the amenities of home. From the coffee brewer to the dishwasher, refrigerator with ice maker, complete range and microwave, we were left wanting for nothing. There's also a market in the shopping center directly across the street (you can walk in just a few minutes), so if you want to have good old family time over a hot cooked meal, you can absolutely do so.
Pots, pans, knives...
and tons of silverware were available.
Then things you wouldn't expect were included too, like a blender, mixer and electric can opener. Very nice, Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa...very, very nice.
We had a full-sized washer and dryer that the kids (grown and small) hated me using on the last day. They wanted to get going but I didn't want to go home with dirty clothes! A box of detergent was included for guests, so my way of saying thank you was to use it. ;) I don't know about you, but I love when a suite has a washer and dryer.
The living room had a couch, two chairs and the television set. The balcony seen just beyond overlooked the pool area.
This resort also had a a full-service spa (that other readers have raved about in reviews but we didn't have time to visit), and three different places to dine! There was an Irish Pub kind of place called Frankie Farrell's, Lani's Luau at the pool (with very generous hours to dine, including early morning for breakfast), and a Pizza Hut.
There was a stay Sky Kids club, with scheduled activities like face painting, and a 24-hour fitness center which is something my oldest always likes to see. And for everyone? The shopping!! This resort is located so so so close to the Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores. I had to be home fairly early the day we left, but my two oldest children and their equal halves ;) did not, so after check-out they went shopping! Stores like Osh Kosh, Eddie Bauer, Samsonite, Gap, Calvin Klein and Nine West were but a few on the agenda.
There is wired and wireless Internet, and the Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa does have limited pre-scheduled shuttles that run to the park (be sure to book ahead the night before your trip).
Everything in every area of the resort, and this resort was huge! was spotless, enjoyable and presented well. I have only pros to share because we only experienced pros while we were there. The best thing? Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa is SO very affordable! Take a look around the website, and the next time you're considering a trip to the Lake Buena Vista / Orlando area, be sure to book your stay. We have our next trip to Orlando in the making (we're crazy about the area, so much to see and do!!) and this is the resort where we will be paying to stay. Next time though, we're saving one day to do nothing but enjoy what LBV Resort Village and Spa has to offer.
That sounds like a great place to stay. We are heading down in August, so I might have to think about staying there.
ReplyDeleteThis seems like a nice hotel I would stay at....
ReplyDeleteThat's perfect for large families who are planning to stay for more than a couple of days. The resort looks clean and I love that the rooms and even the bathrooms are spacious! Glad yo enjoyed your stay there! And thanks for the tour!
ReplyDeleteThat is one disney accommodation I have not stayed at. Thanks for giving us the tour!
ReplyDeleteI think I could move in there.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like someplace I would enjoy. At the moment I am working on turning my bedroom/bathroom into a relaxing spa
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful suite with a beautiful view. My kind of outing.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day. ☺
That looks like a great place for a family to stay. I love having the kitchen items, it's much less expensive to cook in than dine out every meal.
ReplyDeleteWow what a fantastic place and I like that it has kid friendly facilities! That ship is so cool.
ReplyDeleteNow that's staying in style! If you're going to do Disney, always stay on site.
ReplyDeleteThis one's not on Disney property, but it's perfect! I've stayed at both (on and off-site for Disney), this one has the shuttles just like the ones on-site, so it's got every single perk. It was very central to shopping and other kinds of events (we went to the Medieval Times restaurant and it was a very close drive...one of many, many things that were close by). For those who have never stayed off-site, I recommend giving it a try here. This place was so spacious, clean and really nice! We loved it. :)
DeleteLooks a great place to visit! Wanna go there. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteSure looks like an awesome place indeed. I'd jump in the tub with jets haha
ReplyDeleteOhhh this looks wonderful! We will definitely have to look into this when we go next year :)
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing resort! Those swan towels are a fun touch! You really could save a lot of money on dining when you are able to cook all of your own food at the resort with all the extras they include. It's really like taking your home with you on vacation!
ReplyDeletei am very impressed by the layout of the room. plus the pool looks awesome
ReplyDeleteWe stay off site usually but stayed on site this year for the first time. It was fine, but nothing special. This place looks awesome! I'd love this.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds fantastic! I can't think of a better way to wind down after a day at the Magic Kingdom than to come back to a posh place like that.
ReplyDeleteoh yes we so need to come and visit here
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a great place to stay. I will keep this in mind the next time we want to stay over by Disney.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a really cool place to stay. I would love to visit here.

ReplyDeleteWow what a great place to hang out. I would totally stay here.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a nice, comfortable place to stay. I'd love to head down to Disney World soon.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful home away from home that is for anyone heading to Orlando. Everything you could possibly want and more!
ReplyDeleteMy family stayed at a similar resort and actually loved it! The pictures look amazing! Good info as I hope to take my family to Disney soon.
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful resort...and I may be wrong...but I do believe we had a timeshare property under that name which we sold. We did love it though.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds awesome! I would love to visit a place like this!
ReplyDeleteThis would be an amazing vacation for us. I would love to stay in a beautiful place like this. The rooms are so comfortable looking.

ReplyDeleteMy husband and I want to go and the part we hate the most is trying to find a hotel that we will be satisfied with. Thanks for the review!
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing looking resort! I'm all over that tub with jets! I could definitely enjoy myself there...it would be hard to leave! lol

ReplyDeleteThat's a great view. I have to cheek it out.
ReplyDeleteThis is a really beautiful hotel and I love that it is family-friendly. It's always nice to be comfortable when you stay in hotels and are away from home.
ReplyDeleteGreat review! Reminds me I need to find a great place to stay at Disneyland, maybe next year! :)
ReplyDeleteLook at all the amenities! I've never seen anything like that! The washer and dryer alone is astounding! HUGE rooms, with all that kitchen equipment! Leaving out all the theme park attractions, I'd stay here just for the joy of this luxury!
ReplyDeleteWe are the farthest thing from a Disney family, but I like that this resort isn't on the Disney property. If we did somehow decide to go to Disney World we would definitely not want to stay on the property. This looks like a very family friendly alternative.
ReplyDeleteWe've driven by this resort so many times but have yet to stay. I love the pirate ship in the pool area, definitely a cool amenity
ReplyDeleteI like having a kitchen if I am away for more than 3 or 4 days. Funny, that hotel looks exactly like my cousin's apartment building.
ReplyDeleteLOL My family has stayed there before. Loved it - so spacious and perfect for large families!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a great hotel for a family vacation! We may have to try it on our next trip to Orlando!
ReplyDeleteI love that its like a fancier version of your house and less like a hotel room. I love the amenities and the fact that you have stuff to cook in though most of the time, if its a hotel stay, I prefer room service haha. Nothing beats being waited on hand and foot.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place and your suite looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteThis place looks amazing and that suite looks gorgeous. I'll have to check it out. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll keep it in mind next time I go there.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place! It makes me want to pack my bags right now!!

ReplyDeleteWow, this looks like a great place to stay. We're considering going to Disneyland in October. Thanks for the review.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great place to stay while visiting Disney. I will keep this in mind for our trip down there!
ReplyDeleteWe stayed here in February this year as a family of 5 I have to agree with everything you have said, it was great. Couple of other points I'd like to make is there is plenty of parking on site and it was our little boys fifth birthday whilst we were there and we arranged for the room to be decorated while we were out with Trish, they did an amazing job and the cake from publix was delicious. We without a doubt will be back.
ReplyDeleteYes! This is my kind of place. It is so nice having a kitchen in the place you are staying for vacation. It helps save some money.
ReplyDeleteThis is so cool! It even have utensils and a mixer? Cause hey, baking is always a good idea! lol
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful place to stay :) I've never been to Orlando

This looks like a great place to stay. I love that they have everything you need to be comfortable during your time there.
ReplyDeleteWow, those are some swanky accommodations. I can see coming back to relax in that suite after a long day of Disney Magic.
ReplyDeleteIt looks amazing. We always end up staying places with kitchens to get enough beds for all the kids, but while I like having a fridge for leftovers, I hate cleaning up after it. That's what I am on vacation for!
ReplyDeletewhat a beautiful place with lots of amenities and things you need , i hope i can visit orlando someday
ReplyDeleteWE've talked about staying off-property next time we visit Disney. Will definitely bookmark this one!

ReplyDeleteI have been to Orlando and the Disney parks are really the main attraction there. This looks like a good place for a family to stay in. Hope the price is reasonable. I will keep this in mind.
ReplyDeleteHa! I just moved from Orlando and passed this place every week! It's cool to finally see the inside.
ReplyDeleteThat was such an eventful stay for you guys. Also, I had no idea about the e thing for fiance, nice tidbit there. Anyhoo, the rooms look great, perfect for families!
ReplyDeleteOh my God, how do you find time? Once I've done the parks and everything they have to offer our two weeks are up. This place does look grest though. Guess i need to plan longer holidays...
ReplyDeleteI was trying to find the address of this hotel because I see that it's near Disney World and I'm wondering what place it is. Will go online and search for more info... thanks for sharing

ReplyDeleteThis hotel is simply amazing - it is strategically located and great amenities. That tub looks enticing, I'd want to relax there and enjoy a grand time. It's very ideal for families with kids. Good thing it's near Disney World. That's a plus point, definitely.

ReplyDeleteA suite room complete with kitchen, now that looks impressive... The pool just looks spectacular! Congrats on ur son's engagement..
ReplyDeleteThis looks perfect for families with children as well as for only couples to reconnect.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a really awesome place to spend a vacation!
ReplyDeleteWe stayed not to far away from here the last time we were in Florida. We were at the Sheraton Vistana Resort and it was also beautiful there. Maybe I might stop here one day because I'm sure the kids would enjoy it as well.
ReplyDeleteIt is simply wow! That Swimming pool view is too good. Other facilities in the room are also classy.
ReplyDeleteI like the spacious room and the facilities in this resort. Going to check out more information about it.
ReplyDeleteThe room with the poolside view looks great. How deep was the water in the swimming pool? This is a great place to relax!
ReplyDeleteThe comment below is verified as accurate. Thank you Lift Laugh Lipstick. :)
DeleteHi Rochkirstin,
ReplyDeleteThe Pirate Pool is a zero-depth pool in one end and somewhere between 3-5 feet on the other end! I hope that helps :)
This place looks so classic and nice! Would love to try it when I'm in the area :D
ReplyDeleteI am staying here this weekend and can not wait. It looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteMy family and I would absolutely be thrilled to visit LBV Resort Village and Spa. Such lovely rooms and photos.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous resort! I agree about the pool, it's awesome and certainly deserved to be on a not so wordless Wednesday post!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like an amazing place to stay! I'm hoping to visit Disney World with my children and grandchildren within the next year or two and this would be the perfect resort to stay at.
