Parents want to keep their children safe, that's a given. With the school year back in session, kids are spending a lot more time in the car. Between soccer matches, after-school events, guitar lessons, and the like, not to mention being carted back and forth to school each day, the kids are in the vehicle, a lot. One way to keep them safe, is with a stellar quality of car seat. For us, the Diono Booster seat is the perfect match for my 8-yr.-old son.

Folds down flat for easy storage or travel.
Bottom disconnects with ease.
|
Easy to snap together, you can use it as a traditional booster, or you can use it with the high back. This booster seat comes apart or becomes flat for easy storage and/or traveling.
|
11-position, adjustable headrest can be moved easily with one hand,
but also stays firmly in place.
|
At the top of the high back you will find an 11-position, adjustable headrest that adjusts up to 6.5" in height. You can adjust it with one hand, and then it stays in place until you want to move it (so it's not moving with each bump or movement).

Headrest and deep, aluminum-reinforced sides are lined with
energy-absorbing EPS foam for side impact protection.

The headrest and deep, aluminum reinforced sides are both lined with energy absorbing EPS foam for side impact protection.
The headrest also provides an extra level of comfort for your child. My son loves to put his head back and enjoy his, and it's also a great place to rest or nap on long car rides. Just a note: I'd apologize for that sand on the seat next to him, but I just can't. We live close to the beach and that's a reason to celebrate (sand and all). ;)

Latch Connectors and Front Adjusters allow for easy installation
and they keep the seat in position when it's not in use.
|
The seat bottom is reinforced and provides extra lap belt safety. The lap belt significantly strengthens the Monterey, providing superior defense against crash forces. As a fixed-position booster, integrated LATCH connectors and front adjusters allow for a safe and secure installation in seconds, and keeps the seat in position when it's not in use. LATCH use is optional.

Simple-to-use dial adjusts the width of the seat to fit a child's
shoulders up to 20" wide. |
There is a simple-to-use dial on the back that adjust the width of the seat to fit a child's shoulders up to 20" wide.
|
Can be used without the back.
|
The seat bottom has extra length for leg support and features thick AirTek foam and tapered sides for additional comfort. That makes it nice whether you're using it without the back...
|
Or can be used with the back securely attached.

or with it. My son prefers to have the back on the seat, just because the head supports are so very comfortable. I prefer it because of the additional safety features. This seat comes in three different patterns, we chose the Heather Grey.

ReplyDeleteThat looks like a really nice booster seat. My little guy is eight and is only still in a booster because he such a peanut.
ReplyDeleteKiddo is almost 11 (January) and she has only been out of her booster for about a year, if even. It took her a while to have her growth spurt.
DeleteThe carseat: one of the top reasons I'm glad I'm not a parent. I can never figure the darn things out. If it's truly simple, that's a good thing. And your boy looks awfully cute, as usual.
ReplyDeleteBe well, my friend.
What a great seat. I love that it expands like that to accommodate height.

ReplyDeleteLooks mighty comfortable and your son is handsome.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day. ☺
That is pretty cool that it stretches to go to a booster. We have one that goes up to 120 pounds also, nothing better than only buying one seat.

The car seat looks sturdy, safe, solid and most of all like it would last a super long time. I am with a toddler now and will note it.
ReplyDeleteYou are right, this booster seat is nice looking! Safety is always first, so this booster seat seems like a top pick!
ReplyDeleteMy 8-year-old is anxiously awaiting the time she'll meet the weight requirement to be out of a booster. I hope it never happens! I feel so much more secure knowing my kids are protected.

ReplyDeleteThese are necessary now.
ReplyDeleteI think even now my daughter needs one! Especially when we travel far distances.
Booster seats have come so far since my kids were in them. This one looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteThat is a very nice car seat. I should look at one for my grandson when he travels with us.
ReplyDeleteWe are going to be in the market for a booster soon. I am very picky (obviously) about what we use. I love that this can be put together easily and keeps them safe.
ReplyDeleteThis is exactly what my friend needs for her Daughter. She has outgrown her car seat but is to small for a small booster seat. I will have to share this with my friend.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know bigger kids needed booster seats like that.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great seat for my son once he outgrows the one he's in now. Thanks for the info.
ReplyDeleteNow that looks awesome
ReplyDeleteThat's neat! I like how simple it is to adjust. He looks super comfy in there.
ReplyDeleteIt is so important to have a good booster seat. I just bought one for my daughter but we need a second one for my husbands car.
ReplyDeleteThat really does look like a nice booster seat. Years ago, when my daughter was in one, hers was nowhere near as fancy.
ReplyDeleteIt looks super comfy! If my kids were still in boosters, we'd definitely switch to this one!
ReplyDeleteI wish I researched more before purchasing car seats for my daughter. Definitely considering the booster seat for when she gets older.

ReplyDeleteLooks like a great seat. We are about ready for a booster seat and this one looks very nice!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great looking seat! I'll be in the market for a booster seat in the next few months also!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a great seat. My 8-year-old is counting down the days until no more booster, but I'm a stickler for weight requirements.
ReplyDeleteLots of great features. It looks like this seat is comfy also.
ReplyDeleteI just LOVE Diono. We used them this past summer for our road trip and tbh it's the only car seat we've used now for the past 2 years.
ReplyDeleteI love that the booster can grow with your child! Money saving and safe too, love it
ReplyDeleteI like that it folds flat for convince. That is very convenient.
ReplyDeleteThat's cool! Isaak still sits in one. We just took Mica out this year. He's 10, and is so tall. Truth be told Isaak, who is 7 has a lot of friends that do not have a booster at all. I don't get it. One is super short. I think it's best that they are in them for as long as possible.
ReplyDeleteI love how long it grows with them and it looks so comfortable too.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a great booster seat. My nieces are going to be transitioning car seats soon and I will share this one with my sister in law.
