When we first moved up north (no raking the leaves in south Florida) I saw people taking leaves to the curb and I thought that was awesome that the city did that service.
We don't live in the city anymore, so we burn them. There is a hill though, that leads to where the burn pile goes, and we let him ride down that. :)
We live right outside the city so we have to take care of our own. The neighbors aren't keen on anyone burning leaves here. We went through over 50 large yard bags last year and hauled them all to the dump. It was a lot of work!
Hahaha, cute! Leaf piles are a fun favorite! You look like you live in a beautiful place! Reminds me of my grandfather's ranch in Connecticut. Happy WW!
I love to watch kids play in the leaves. I bet they had a lot of fun. You took a great photo your son blends in so much with the leaves. This is a fun photo for Wordless Wednesday. Thanks for sharing it.
Hahaha, I want to ride around like that! I'm sure my kiddos would love it too. We don't have leaves on the ground just yet, my boys can't wait for them to start coming down -- we've been talking about the different colors and why they turn.
Holy cow, I wouldn't have spotted that kiddo amongst all those leaves. What fun! I wish I could do stuff like that again. Now, I'd just sneeze my head off because of stupid allergies. Thanks for the visit. Great photo!
I live in a part of the country where fall does not exist, but I have fond memories of jumping in giant piles of leaves growing up! Being pulled in a pile of leaves looks like even more fun...why didn't I think of that???
I wish my neighbor's tree would shed all it's leaves. I want a leaf pile. Then I want to grind them all up before it gets cold.
ReplyDeleteOur neighbors probably wish our trees wouldn't shed, lol. The John Deere is broken (in need of repair) and doing it by hand takes a LOT longer.
DeleteOh is it a turtle?
ReplyDeleteIt's my youngest child sitting in the middle of the leaves catching a ride, lol
DeleteI'm thinking there's a turtle there...how cool!!! Thanks for stopping by. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's a kid, lol. He does have his days where he moves as slow as a turtle though...especially when it's time to get ready for school. ;)
DeleteLooks like turtle surprise!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by.

Thx, your telemarketer sign was a hoot.
DeleteLOL I bet he enjoyed that!
ReplyDeleteIt looked fun enough I briefly considered jumping in w/him. Briefly... ;)
DeleteHe has the right idea. Just hide IN the leaves instead of raking them, then get a free ride to the curb lol.

ReplyDeletethanks, Leovi. I was just looking at your fish on the water, that's amazing how you do that!!!
DeleteOh my goodness, that's hysterical! My boys love leaf piles and were out there raking on their own today!
ReplyDeleteI KNOW, Mimi...seasons that get the kids WANTING to do work, I love it!! :)
DeleteHahahaha! That's awesome.
ReplyDelete:)
DeleteIs that a mutant ninja turtle?
ReplyDeleteIt's not, Wayne, but he is one of their biggest fans (and could sing the song lyrics before he could spell his last name, lol). :)
DeleteWhat fun! When my oldest was little he used to be afraid of leaves. When they blew around he thought they were chasing him lol.
ReplyDeleteHappy WW :)
